So yeah Noelle is off Lumberjanes and onto a new project. It’s called “4 Wizards” because they wanted a title that sounded like a shitty meme.
The publisher describes 4 Wizards as the story of an eccentric wizard, Hugo, who is forced to take an apprentice, and gets stuck with sarcastic teenager Ivy, a medium who is sometimes possessed by her powerful and unpredictable alter-ego Nightshade. The two of them must work with their neighbors, a disgraced paladin named Zan and her druid apprentice Brambles, when their world comes under attack from dark forces.
So it’s a pretty generic story, but if you summed up Harry Potter in a similar manner it would sound generic too. What’s the difference? Oh, JK Rowling has actual writing ability. Oh, she spent years working on her story instead of just thinking it up over a few weekends. Just minor differences, nothing the kids will notice.
This is gonna be your typical SJW pablum. The wizard looks like Dumbledore as drawn by an artist who can’t draw hair, feet, or anything else. There’s a sarcastic teenager because people are so good at writing those
There’s a child because Noelle loves drawing children - she still sees herself as a child. I also see her that way. The paladin is one tough broad who fights for social justice, you can tell because she has an eyepatch, tattoos, and problem hair.
4 Wizards, POWER UP, whatever crap the other webcomics feminists are working on… it’s all the same, innit? Every character type seems specifically chosen to appeal to an audience of 13-year-olds who have been brainwashed by constant exposure to tumblr.
And the saddest thing is that kids who want to break into comics, they see this stuff and make that their goal. They don’t want to emulate good writers or good artists, because the market is so saturated with crap that they don’t even *see* the good stuff.
Not only is the quality of the work indescribably bad, but the minds behind the work are all kinds of fucked up.
She went on a 50-tweet rant about being a former Christian and I could not give a fuck, but I do like this part where it devolves into total nonsense. The sheep and the goats. Vessels destined for destruction. And all she could do was tweet.
MOD 1: Amputate a man’s leg and he can still feel it tickling.
Tell me Noelle, when you see stacks of your unsold books, where will it tickle you? 8)
OH AND NOELLE: LOVE THE PROBLEM HAIR
The sheep and the goats refers to a parable of the judgement

I have a different understanding of scripture than she did, but I’m dead fucking tired.
